Located in a former sugar factory, the museum takes the visitor on a guided tour of the lives and memories of sugar workers. We learn about the history of the island’s population from the coffee era to the rise of sugar cane. The museum reveals the secrets of sugar and rum production and leads the visitor into an exotically scented world of spices and essences. Tour the garden of fragrances with its many varieties of sugar cane and its exceptional collection of steam engines.
